Most production builders claim they have a custom program. But when you ask them to change something, they either do not allow the change or they price it so high that it discourages you from making the change. For example, production builders will typically charge you between $800 to $1,000 just to talk to their designer, even if you decide not to make the change. Then, once you settle on a plan, you are restricted to buying accessories for your home from a single showroom that has everything marked up 50% to 100% and carries less than 5% of the products available in the marketplace. After all of this, you are then expected to make every single selection in your home in a four- to six-hour time period. This type of program is not even close to what building a custom home should be. Frontier’s concept of building a custom home is based on giving the client the ability to EASILY design and decorate their home in a cost-efficient manner.

Our programs at Frontier are set up to encourage our clients to design and decorate their home the way they want it. There is no charge to talk to our design team. If your changes consist of only moving things around and do not affect the size of the home, then it does not cost anything to make the change. A lot of our clients have told us that building their custom home with us was actually less expensive than it would have been to build with the production builder after all of the changes and upgrade costs were added. Due to the number of selections from which our clients have to choose when selecting flooring, lighting, appliances, and other accessories, we spread the selection processes into various time intervals during the construction process. This allows our clients to take their time, do their research, and finish their home the way they want it. To add more value for our clients, we are constantly working with our suppliers to negotiate the best discounts we can. We, in turn, pass those savings on to our clients.
